Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit highly committed and passionate employee for the position of Light Vehicle Driver to join the versatile Commercial Services team.

Reporting to the Camp Services Coordinator, you will be responsible to provide timely support in all Camp and Travel functions across site.

 Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

• Shuttle employees and visitors, including VIPs, to and from Solwezi airport and ensure the transfers are safe and on time.
• Ensure all manifested passengers are accounted for at all times.
• Ensure no unauthorised passengers are transported in LMC vehicles at any time.
• Ensure that no unauthorised trips are undertaken with LMC vehicles.
• Provide backup Copperbelt shuttles for rostered senior staff as required.
• Ensure all vehicles are clean, road worthy, in good condition and serviced on time.
• Complete and submit comprehensive departmental vehicle log sheets timeously.
• Processing of paperwork for payment requests when assigned out of station duties.
• Ensure LV pre-start forms are submitted on time.
• Check through bus log sheets and verify that they are correct.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements.

• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum of (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
• Strong local geographic knowledge and familiarity with road safety culture in the region
• Must have good understanding of defensive driving.
• Must have basic knowledge of fleet management.
• High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in Zambia.
• Basic Knowledge of computers and Microsoft office package (such as Excel & Word processing)
• Good communication skills
