Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems.

 Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and install solar panels on roofs and other structures.
• Design PV systems using licensed software or MS Excel spreadsheet , such as PVsyst, HelioScope, Homer Pro
• Configure PV systems based on site conditions and customers’ needs and expectations;
• Conduct load analysis from customers through site visits
• Follow building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures.
• Inspect electrical installations and wiring.
• Test operating voltages; calibrate to ensure systems are within acceptable power limits.
• Ensure that equipment is weather sealed.
• Performs routine maintenance on PV systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation.
• Two (2) years’ experience of electrical wiring and equipment.
• Good relationships with vendors, distributors of solar equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read equipment manuals.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.

Education & Experience

• Vocational or technical school training.
• Zambian Government recognized certfication to perform electrical installations
• Previous related experience preferred.
