Lusaka Oaktree School is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing HR policies and procedures, recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of HR best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the school’s goals and objectives
• Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers
• Develop and deliver training and development programs to improve employee skills and performance
• Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of information
• Manage employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers on disciplinary procedures, grievances, and conflict
• Assist with payroll and benefits administration as needed
• Prepare reports and analyses related to HR metrics and trends
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure HR strategies are aligned with overall organizational goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software
