JOB SUMMARY

Controlling the lifting, moving and positioning of loads on the crane. Should observe and make sure that the load is safely attached and within the load lifting limits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operating the crane under supervision.
2. Inspecting the crane to ensure its safety.
3. Performing routine maintenance and carrying tools for running repairs.
4. Cleaning and maintaining the crane hoisting mechanism.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Grade 12 School Certificate.
2. Valid drivers’ Licence and Operators’ permit.
3. More than 5 years working experience with mobile cranes.
4. Able to understand the Load Charts.
