JOB SUMMARY

Managing the activities of the Engineering Department to design new projects and improve production techniques, analyse technology trends and market demand to plan projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Managing a team with a focus on process, strategy implementation and control.
2. Determining engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness and demand, forecasting operating costs of the department and direct preparation of budget requests.
3. Ensure all affected plant processes and equipment are properly commissioned and operational efficiencies enhanced.
4. Managing a team with a focus on process, strategy implementation and control.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least a credit or better in English and Mathematics.
2. An Engineering Degree in Mechanical or related disciplines.
3. A minimum of 10 years post qualifying experience preferably in the Lime Production or related industry.
4. Must be at least 35 years old.
