- Reports on real and potential Compliance risks across various functions roles and technologies in the business;
- Co-ordinates Compliance risk management activities and events within MTN Zambia;
- Ensures that MTN group risk and Compliance management methodology and related tools are actively used in the identification, assessment and categorization of risk events and scenarios;
- Maintains a comprehensive and up-to-date business risk Compliance register;
- Analyses business impact and recommend action plan (including proposed corrective actions);
- Reports and communicates the observations, business impact and proposed action plan to Compliance Manager;
- Monitors corrective action plan agreed and report status;
- Assists management to improve on risk management processes by supporting the risk identification and assessment process within the organization;
- Assists in the preparation of necessary reports i.e Boad pack, monthly reports;
- Analyzes business impact and recommend action plan (including proposed corrective actions);
- Checks adherence to related statutory, regulatory, legal compliances as per MTN checklist;
- Works closely with process owners, control owners and others involved to plan, manage, and ensure timely remediation of gaps resulting from work performed;
- Works with business owners in the localisation and adoption of polices across the Business;
- Documents and monitors compliance Risk management plans;
- Helps in ensuring that ownership for compliance risk management is fully accepted and driven in the business by risk and compliance champions.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in relevant field;
- Professional qualification in Risk, Audit or Compliance is advantageous;
- Grade 12 Certificate. (5 O’ Level credits, including compulsorily English Language and Mathematics);
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience of auditing/risk management in a medium to large organisation;
- Experience in working across diverse cultures and geographies (advantageous);
- Knowledge and understanding of risk and control methodologies.
