Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Odoo IT Specialist with a strong background in accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing custom modules and applications in Python using the Odoo framework. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices as well as the ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom modules and applications in Python using the Odoo framework
• Work with the accounting team to identify software needs and design solutions to meet those needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Odoo modules with other business systems
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for Odoo modules and applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Odoo modules and applications
• Stay current with Odoo development trends and techniques

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience developing custom modules and applications in Python using the Odoo framework
• Strong background in accounting principles and practices
• Experience working with ERP systems, specifically Odoo
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems

Preferred:

• Experience with Odoo development tools including ORM, QWeb, and XML
• Experience with Odoo module development, deployment, and maintenance
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with Linux operating system
