Allterrain Services Group-Zambia, Africa’s leading Catering service provider is looking for dynamic and self-motivated Zambians with proven performance to fill the existing vacant positions at our Ndola projects in Zambia as listed below;

1. HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER X 01 MUNALI NICKLE MINE

The HSE Officer’s primary duty will be to implement all Occupational, Health and Safety (OH&S), Environmental and Food Safety policies and procedures within areas under the jurisdiction as well as ensuring continuous training of all staff in OH&S, Environment and Food Safety

They will be responsible and accountable for the below but not limited to the following areas:

  • Carry out weekly audits on all ATS Owned and hired vehicles
  • Always ensure all staff onsite wear proper PPE
  • update all paperwork and ensure the HSE filing system is in place at the project site
  • Carry out weekly internal audits, follow up on corrective and preventive measures and ensure they are closed out.
  • Train all staff in food safety, hazard identification and reporting, carry out supplier audits and ensure all procurement is from approved suppliers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum diploma in Health and safety and traceable 3 years’ work experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Creative, self-motivated, proactive and confident
  • Creative and able to be innovative
  • Experience managing a diverse team and strong willingness to build capacity of local staff
  • Knowledge in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety and Food safety
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

THOSE WITH FOOD KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WILL HAVE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE

2. STORE MAN – X03 NDOLA

PURPOSE: You will report directly to the Support Service Manager who oversees the Materials (Stores) Department, and you will be responsible for making sure that all company data is safe guarded and taken good care of, and you will be involved in providing information on stocking levels in the project as well as cost information.

The Store man will be responsible and accountable but not limited to the following areas:

  • Write local purchase orders to be sent out to the various suppliers and ensure that all items required are ordered in time.
  • Receive all supplies and ensure that they are in the correct quantities and of the required standard.
  • Ensure that the dry goods store, chillers, freezers and the chemical stores are always kept neat and tidy.
  • Make sure that all company materials are safe guarded and taken good care of.
  • Capture data.
  • Perform a monthly stock take at the end of every calendar month /when requested.
  • Provide information on stocking levels in the project as well as undertaking procurement activities

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate must have;

  • A minimum of senior high school level certificate with proficient computer skills -a diploma in Purchasing and supply.
  • Some practical experience working in stores.
  • Have knowledge of ordering, receiving, storing and issuing stock
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, including verbal and written in English language.
  • Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations

3. MATERIALS CONTROLLER-X 01 MUNALI NICKLE MINE

PURPOSE: You will report directly to the Project Manager who is the Head of the Materials Department. You will oversee controlling of ATS stocks with the project as well as undertaking procurement activities

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Full grade 12 Certificate or any equivalent with credits or better.
  • Must have a minimum of Diploma in stores management/procurement with some practical experience working in materials/stock control or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered
  • Must have at least three (3) years relevant experience in the field.
  • Should have strong ICT skills

SKILLS

  • Must have initiative and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Should be able to interact with personnel from other departments and the clients.
  • Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations.
  • Must have Good written and oral communication skills in English language.
  • Ability to listen and learn skills required in performing bar service duties.
  • Good report writing and oral presentation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The specific duties of the Materials Controller will be as set out below but not limited to:

  • Be responsible for the implementation of the materials handling procedures within the company. This includes Mats 1 -10.
  • Train and be responsible for Controlling all operations of the supply chain
  • Train and be directly responsible and accountable for all sourcing and supply of materials.
  • Ensure all costs – food/cleaning & service budgets & targets are maintained within the acceptable range within the project
  • You will coordinate the movement of goods from the supplier until they arrive at the intended destination within ATS operations.
  • You will ensure proper storage of goods supplied. This must meet ATS and client Health and Safety requirements.
  • You will maintain a work-in-process inventory. All work-in-process should be traceable. Recall procedures for sub-standard goods must be established and enforced.
  • Training – you will be responsible for establishing and implementing a training program for your subordinates. Records of training must be kept and will be inspected by the HR Manager/Country Manager periodically.
  • The Materials Controller is responsible for ATS public relations with all suppliers of goods and services.
