We are looking to hire an Inventory Manager to handle the various inventory requirements of the business operations.

Job description

1. Maintaining daily records for invoices and shipments to identify which products need to be replenished.
2. Tracking inventory to determine monthly and seasonal demand.
3. Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.
4. Examining the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages
5. Documenting daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory
6. Creating detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
7. Evaluating new inventory
8. Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies
9. Analysing various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals
10. Hiring and training new employees
11. Overseeing the ordering, storing, receiving and distributing processes of products and supplies.
12. Controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation.
13. Designing forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Full Grade 12 certificate including English and Math
2. Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar
3. Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
4. Previous experience in FMCG would be an added advantage
5. Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
6. Experience conducting tracking and data analysis
