I. Title: Corporate Accountant

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Contract period: Permanent

Work Schedule: Full – time

Organizational Relationships: Reports to Managing Director

Supervises: Accounting Officers

Coordinates with: All business units and Directors

II. Statement of responsibilities

• Cash management, management accounting, statutory reporting, corporate secretarial, advisory.

III. Essential Functions

• Strong accounting knowledge demonstrated by previous experience in a complex environment
• Computer literacy and an understanding of systems and documentation flows
• Overall responsibility for the financial affairs of the business
• Previous experience in managing accounting teams
• Experience in company secretarial compliance

IV. Qualifications

• ZICA, ACCA finalist or an undergraduate degree

V. Required

• At least four years’ accounting experience, demonstrated project management skills, strong Excel skills, knowledge of Odoo accounting and at possibly one other accounting software package. Working knowledge of Zambian tax requirements, strong communication skills, and previous senior accounting experience and exposure to IFRS are added advantages.
