The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Develops, deploys and evolves solutions that fall outside the scope of Managed Service Partners;
- Ensures Operational Level Agreement/ Service Level Agreement adherence by managed service partners;
- Ensures availability and reliability of systems through Operation and Maintenance interventions, execution of service management processes and performance of continuous improvement;
- Supports delivery of Projects and Demands as needed;
- Interface between Business teams and Vendor Support teams;
- Interface with Group Technology teams to support the MTN Mobile Money technology strategy;
- Interface with External Partners to ensure optimal operation of integrations.
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credits or better, of which English and Mathematics are a must;
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field;
- At least 2 years’ experience in application support, application development, system administration or BI/Data mining roles;
- Demonstratable SQL & NoSQL database power user skills;
- Demonstratable coding skills;
- Demonstratable Linux/Unix power user skills;
- Working knowledge of software/enterprise architecture;
- Certification in Technology Service Management (e.g. ITIL, CoBIT etc).
