The job holder will be required to provide effective and
efficient Human Resource Information System (HRIS) support
and HR Operational support and coordination in order to
help Management make decisions according to the company’s
human resource-documented information. The job holder will
be reporting to the Manager – HR
Operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide overall support to all the tasks/activities in
CEC HRIS.
- Coordinate all the employee transactions in Employee
Self-Service.
- Maintain the integrity and up-to-date employee
information in HRIS and physical/digitized records, such as
employee personal files and documented processes.
- Coordinate the processing and capturing of employee
movements such as transfers, promotions, separations etc,
in the HRIS and other physical/digitized records.
- Ensure accurate and timely input of personal details
for new employees in the HRS.
- Collect and analyse data from various HR sources and
produce HR matrices that will measure the value of HR
processes and strategic initiatives and suggest
improvements in order to increase employee engagements and
productivity.
- Update departmental organograms and departmental
establishments in accordance with approved budgets.
- Ensure job descriptions for all positions in the
Company are properly maintained for ease of reference.
- Develop, document, and maintain all current and new
HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and
compliance.
- Maintain a proper and up to date record of all HR
policies and procedures and ensure effective communication
and interpretation to all employees.
- Track and timely produce reports on employee-
confirmations, retirements , expiry of short and fixed term
contracts, for decision making.
- Submit accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and ad
hoc reports pertaining to HR operations in order to keep
management informed on all human capital matters and
interventions.
- Produce monthly leave reports in order to ensure that
departments’ leave balances are consistent with their
annual leave plans.
To be considered for this role, you will be
required to have:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources Management,
Business Administration or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in Human Resources Management with
practical experience gained in an HR role and context of
similar complexity.
- Hands on experience in ERP HR systems such as Sage 300,
Microsoft Dynamics, etc., will be an added advantage.
- Good know-how and understanding of the Zambian labour
laws and globally accepted HR best practices.
- Good analytical and presentation skills.
- Extensive understanding of HR processes.
