Our client is looking to recruit an experienced person who will initiate product development, ensuring new products are aligned with market and customer needs and to assess the viability of existing products to deliver more profitable and sustainable solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in either Fintech, InsureTech, Microfinance or SaaS
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and working with Engineering
  • Background in software development and program management is preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile framework
  • Work closely with Business Development to review existing and new products (scorecard) to track and monitor growth and product performance.
  • Coordinate key internal and external stakeholders’ groups, including customers, to analyse the external environment and ensure strategic business alignment with opportunities and external needs and expectations
  • Works closely with the Sales team to track the profitability of the Assets and Depositors’ portfolio, identifying any trends that will impact the profitability.
  • Works with Business Development to implement and measure the viability of proposed Campaigns or Business Promotions
  • Ensure the design and profitability of all such proposals
  • Initiates and manages market research, data mining and quantitative analysis to ensure sustainability and future competitive growth across all products, including AfDB funded products
  • Develops and implements effective MIS for the Branch network and Mortgage Sales unit, ensuring adequate visibility of performance against budget against all products, including AfDB-funded efficient spending and achievement of optimal brand exposure.
  • Support the business in developing the Banking and Mortgage budget against set performance objectives, strategies and action plans and thereafter support the business in presenting the budget for consolidation into the company corporate budget

Experience: 5 years plus

Education Level: Degree

Qualifications: Degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, ACCA or CIMA or Equivalent Business qualification
