At this moment, its Human Resource (HR) Department are seeking to fill a vacancy for the position of Assistant Human Resource Officer
Purpose of the Role
The Assistant Human Resources Officer is a professional who is responsible for the daily administrative and HR duties of an organization. They assist with recruitment and record maintenance for payroll processing as well as provide clerical support to all employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical and administrative support to the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including inputs, processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing pay slips.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events etc.
- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Prepare and provide payroll inputs such as; leave, overtime, list of employees per month, unpaid leave.
- Management and processing of expatriate’s employment permit
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning employees and employee records
- Ability to work as a team
Education and Experience:
- Diploma in Human Resource Management.
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in Human Resource Management
