We are thus seeking a full-time Business Development Officer at our HQ in Lusaka.
You ought to be resilient, empathic business development executive to contribute to the growth of our company. As a business development officer, you are responsible for finding and retaining clients, closing sales deals, encouraging existing clients to purchase added products or features, and remaining abreast of changes in consumption. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an inspired self-starter, result oriented and able to drive sales growth. Ultimately, as top-notch Business Development Officer, you should be able to build rapport with customers and close sales.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and executing sales plans to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Growing business through the development of new leads and new contacts
- Identifying new revenue opportunities
- Familiarizing yourself with all products and services offered by our company.
- Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth and other sales channels.
- Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
- Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained.
- Ensuring that clients’ needs are properly defined – understood and are met.
- Suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients.
- Crafting business proposals and contracts to draw in more revenue from clients.
- Negotiating with clients to secure the most attractive prices.
- Reviewing clients’ feedback and implementing necessary changes.
- Ensuring clients complaints are resolved within 48 hours
- Remaining in tune with trends in consumption to ensure that our offerings remain relevant.
- Create awareness of and develop the brand you’re marketing
- Communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships.
- Help with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns
- Organizing and oversee advertising/communication campaigns (social media, TV etc.), exhibitions and promotional events
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Sales Representative
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- ability to build productive business professional relationships
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
- Diploma in Marketing or any Business-related field.
