The Zambia National Building Society (ZNBS) is the leading provider of sustainable and affordable mortgage financing, property management and banking services in Zambia.

The Society seeks to recruit skilled, experienced, self-motivated, and energetic individuals to be part of a dynamic team to fill the following positions; 

Grade: ZNBS 6 Job Purpose 

To increase the insurance penetration rate of the total number of policies sold to the existing customer base and new business.

Duties and Responsibilities

✓ To achieve sales targets by selling predesigned products.

✓ To monitor and report on financial performance against agreed budgets.

✓ To monitor competition and market trends and make recommendations on new products to be offered or changes to the predesigned products.

✓ To review the sales onboarding processes to have all Bancassurance products embedded at the point of sale.

✓ To ensure sales reports are developed, defined, and continuously reviewed to facilitate the growth of the business.

✓ To ensure that all Branches are trained for all Bancassurance products.

✓ To ensure that all stakeholders queries are resolved or referred to the right contact person.

✓ To coordinate the negotiation of corporate terms with insurers to ensure that the Society’s interests are well covered.

✓ To provide the required technical support to respective units for insurance renewals related to Society property and assets.

✓ To ensure claims are timely lodged with insurance companies for ZNBS to recover the losses and damages as applicable.

✓ To focus on the customer experience and improve the turnaround time on the end-to-end        process       of      insurance policies.

✓ To ensure timely reconciliation of all the insurance premiums as part of risk management

✓ Ensure timely processing of insurance premiums for various stakeholders.

✓ Participate effectively in continuous process improvements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in managing insurance-related activities for the Society.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

✓ Full Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) ‘O’ levels passes.

✓ Degree        in       Insurance,    Business

Administration, or related discipline.

✓ A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar environment.

✓ Demonstrable understanding and application of insurance principles and processes.

✓ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

✓ Show effective negotiating and interpersonal skills. 

✓ Be innovative and creative.

✓ Advanced computer skills (Excel, word processing and PowerPoint).

✓ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

✓ Strong report-writing and presentation skills.

✓ High level of honesty, integrity, objectivity, and independence of thought.
