• Ability to thoroughly understand the complex internal architecture of the mobile money core banking platforms and it’s auxiliary applications;
• Engages diverse internal and external customers and turn their vague aspirations into clear concise requirements;
• Ensures the concise requirements and the expected outcomes are clearly understood by technology teams;
• Drives clarification discussions between teams to iron out any misunderstandings;
• Develops solutions to meet the expectations of customers and use them to guide the thinking of our technology partners;
• Reviews solutions prepared by our technology partners, improves them and ensures they confirm to expectations;
• Supports delivery of projects in line with Agile delivery methodologies;
• Prepares and maintains documentation of functional specifications and solutions;
• Ensures that IT policies and procedures promote confidentiality, integrity, availability and security of corporate data and information on applications in the OPCO are implemented;
• Creates processes and procedures to manage the environment;
• Participates in the selection of suitable technologies and negotiates/manages contracts with suppliers accordingly;
• Interfaces between Business and Vendor Support teams;
• Interfacing Group Technology teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, Masters and added advantage;
• 4 years in Fintech, E-Commerce or Consumer Technology of which 2 years in managing within a Fintech technology environment;
• Formal training in system design architecture, technology architecture and IT Business Analysis;
• Specific training on Agile delivery methodologies.
